Several days ago, Permanent Waves was designated “Editor’s Pick” by the Live365 team. After about 9 years of playing orchestral film music on the air, it was determined that Permanent Waves is “one of the top performing Live365 stations in terms of listener loyalty!” I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you, the listeners, for your continued positive comments, suggestions and contributions to the station. The mere fact that you guys enjoy what you hear brings me the greatest satisfaction.

With that said, I thought of giving a little back via the usual currency; several new tracks. Three tracks come from Firefly, which is one of the most enjoyable television shows I’ve ever seen. My wife, who was new to the show, fell in love with it and demanded writing the channel to bring it back. I told her that it had been done… and it had failed. These tracks are “The Funeral”, “River Understands Simon” and “Inside The Tam House”.

Thanks to sf209 (which is a real name, I’m sure) for suggesting the soundtrack of The Mists of Avalon. I gave it a listen during the past week and it was beautiful, making it harder to select one or two tracks from it. Eventually, I did settle with “Running Up The Hill/ Guinevere” and “Finding Excalibur”.

Finally, another track comes from Lost as we all sadly await the 6th and last season and it is: “Landing Party”.
